The 1335 Days of Daniel 12:12
The most likely exact start date for the Day of the Lord's Wrath (Zeph. 1:14, 15, 16, 17, 18), and the most likely EXACT DATE for Christ's Rev. 1:7 Second Coming can only be understood by decoding prophesy from the books of Daniel and Revelation, and only recognised by those who are 'wise' according to Daniel 12:10. That's because the decoding of these prophecies depends on knowing the correct dates for keeping God's Annual Holy Days which picture these events!
KNOWING THE DATE OF CHRIST'S RETURN IN THE LAST DAYS
Many people think we cannot know the date Christ will return, because Matthew 24:36 says: "But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of Heaven, but My Father only."
Very few know that this is an imperfect translation. The Young's Literal Version is more likely correct, in this case, putting the Greek word number 1492 in Strong's (see screenshot) in the past tense: 'And concerning that day and the hour no one has known--not even the messengers of the heavens--except my Father only.' (Another explanation is that this verse is referring back to the previous verse, talking about not knowing when heaven and earth will pass away... Matt. 24:35, and not referring to the overall subject of the chapter at all.)
It would seem God's true prophets should know the details of when Christ will openly return, as foretold in Matthew 24:30 and elsewhere. Consider Amos 3:7 -- "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." The Douay-Rheims Bible says "For the Lord God doth nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets."
What are these secrets?
Is the "Little Book" spoken about in Revelation 10 the Little Book of DANIEL?
Some teach it's the book of Ezekiel. But Ezekiel 3 addresses Israel only. Daniel fits all requirements.
Notice, in Daniel 12:4 the prophecies in the book being discussed were shut up, and sealed till the time of the END, but then in Revelation 10, verses 2 and 8, in his vision of the END TIME, John sees that the little book is now OPEN.
Daniel saw an angel who stood upon the waters of a river. When John sees this same angel in Rev. 10:2 the waters have become a sea. (Christ is the one who walks on water. This mighty 'angel' is Christ.) Rev. 17:15 explains that the waters symbolise nations, grown larger.
Daniel 12:6 says: How long shall be the end of these wonders, --talking about the timing at the end. Rev 10:6 gives the answer. It says: Time shall be no longer.
Daniel 12 says I heard and understood not. But in Rev 10:10 John says he heard, and then he ate up the little book. Then in verse 11 he was told to prophesy to many nations and tongues and kings - not just to the house of Israel as Ezekiel was told to do. Revelation 10 seems to pick up where Daniel leaves off, and then goes from there.
The exact date of the second coming may possibly be revealed by understanding the last prophecy in the last chapter of the Biblical book of Daniel. Verse 10 says that in the last days the wise will understand! Daniel 12:12 says
Blessed is he who waits and comes to the thousand, three hundred and thirty-five days, and verse 13 shows the time being spoken of here is when Daniel is resurrected in the first resurrection. This is when all true Christians will be resurrected. (The Bible does not teach that Christians go to heaven immediately after death, instead it teaches they will be resurrected at a date that is yet in the future. See 1Cor.15:21-23, John 5:28,29, Dan.12:2)When they understand it, true Christians repent over ever having kept Christmas or Easter. They keep God's appointed feast days, including annual holy days instead (eg. Unleavened Bread), which picture the plan of God and prophecy for the near future, and fall at different times each year, and they include a day called Pentecost, which occurs at the same time that the Jews observe an equivalent day that the Jews call Shavuot.
Because Christ kept this exact same holy day at the same time as the Pharisees during his physical life, it is the Pharisees way of counting to Pentecost (Shavuot) that we should use today. Once we know the correct day of Pentecost at the end of the age perhaps we can work out the exact year and day Christ will return!
For anyone with a Herbert W. Armstrong / former Worldwide Church of God background, who doubts my understanding of which day is actually the correct day to observe Pentecost, they can prove this for themselves here.
In Matthew 16:3 Christ rebuked the Jews for not discerning the signs of the TIMES (The word 'times' is Greek word 2540 in Strong's. It means SET TIMES, or more correctly SET HOLY DAY SEASONS - See Point 3 below). In Mark 13:28-29 Christ said: And learn the parable of the fig-tree: when her branch is still tender and puts out leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, at the doors.
Therefore, because
(1) The Bible can easily be PROVED to be true. (See my Bible Proof page)
(2) World events now DO show ominous signs never before seen
(3) The end time Biblical tribulation period is a length of time, referred to in Revelation 12:14 as a 'time, times, and half a time'. It is usually understood to be three and a half years, but it is better translated as three and a half Special SET TIMES and Seasons, or three and a half years of Biblical Holy Days, or Feast Days
(4) The meaning of the Biblical Feast Day of TRUMPETS pictures a sequence of events specifically during the Day of the Lord's Wrath, however all of the alarming events that occur around the Great Tribulation time period are brought to mind when this holy day is observed in God's calendar
(5) The meaning of the Biblical Feast Day of PENTECOST actually pictures the day of the first resurrection and the harvest of Christ's 'firstfruits'
(6) The 1335 day prophecy in Daniel 12:12-13 is a prophecy about counting a sequence of days that would show how many days remain until the first resurrection
(7) The previous points give us sufficient information to show HOW and WHEN to look for a set period of 1335 days...
It's therefore logical to conclude that, when kept on the correct days, one of the next sequences of years to have EXACTLY 1335 DAYS between these two festival "time indicators" of Trumpets and Pentecost MAY BEGIN THE COUNT-DOWN TO THE FIRST RESURRECTION!
YOU MAY HAVE JUST READ THE UNSEALING OF DANIEL 12:12 ...
AND PERHAPS THE LITTLE BOOK OF DANIEL MAY NOW BE OPEN!If this is correct, Christ will return with the saints on the next annual holy day after that future Pentecost resurrection, which again, in it's sequence, will be on the day of Trumpets.
Any count should be inclusive of the day of Trumpets, not beginning after it. It's the same way of counting that the Church of God (WCG) adopted to count 50 days to Pentecost when they researched this in 1974. Esther 5:1 is another example, because Esther counts three days of fasting inclusively, and went to the king on, not after the third day. All counts should be inclusive of, not away from the first date. (Free date calculation tool here.)
The Year of Release should also be considered - check here for years that fit.
This is currently SPECULATION ONLY
It's important to understand true church history also. In the book of Revelation in the Holy Bible there are ONLY SEVEN consecutive churches of God prophesied to fill history between Christ's first coming and Christ's second coming.
