The "Year of Release"

Deuteronomy 15:1-18 says that, to help the poor, all debts are to be forgiven in the seventh year.

Exodus 21:1-6 releases servants from bondage in the seventh year, unless they desire otherwise.

Deuteronomy 31:10-13 requires the Law to be read at the Feast of Tabernacles during this year of release. This would ensure that former debtors and servants were properly taught God's Law so they need not become poor again.

Extrapolating additional understanding from these verses, it seems that the seventh Year of Release actually is another type of the millennial reign of Christ. So I believe it's also logical to expect Jesus to return on a year of release. That is, I expect Christ to return on one of the calculated Sabbatical years in this end time.

But... when I tried to research this subject, I found there are lots of different dates given by various groups, for when these dates actually are.

However the following may be correct:
According to William Whiston, the translator of the book of Josephus, the Jews placed 24 B.C. as a Sabbatical year. and 23 B.C. as a Jubilee year.

According to calculations on the friendsofsabbath.org website, this would mean that A.D. 27 was a Sabbatical year, and A.D. 28 was a Jubilee year. Therefore, according to the way they calculate it, 1977 was a Sabbatical year and 1978 a Jubilee year. Sabbatical years occur after this in 1985, 1992, 1999, 2006, 2013, 2020 and 2027, with the next Jubilee in 2028.

IF this is right, then 2020 or 2027 are possible years in which Jesus will return. There is a saying: Hindsight is 20/20... Time will tell.
